These are our strengths
The Swedish automotive industry is known all over the world for its expertise in safety, the environment and telematics. Volvo Cars, for example, is a pioneer in car safety. Volvo Trucks and Scania are on the leading edge of hybrid technology and second- generation biofuels for commercial vehicles. And as early as 1982 Volvo Transportation System launched a digital system for taxi communication (Taxi80).
Sweden also has access to ideal environments for testing and demonstrating new automotive technology. More than 30 manufacturers and suppliers from Europe and Asia have chosen Northern Sweden for winter and endurance tests. Test Site Sweden offers virtual, full-scale and reality tests.
